The Icarus Incident

Setting- it is the year 2269. Earth is severely overpopulated and is an ecological disaster thanks to global warming, pollution, and an incident with a runaway GMO corn crop. Not to mention a limited war between the U.S. and North Korea that saw little American damage but left most of NK as a radioactive wasteland. When China threatened to retaliate, it was only a unified U.S.-Russian power block that caused them to stand down and start a second Cold War. The Daedalus Foundation is an uneasy alliance of National partnerships and Multinational corporations created to unite the earth’s resources for the exploration (and exploitation) of space both within and without the solar system. While all members may have the same stated goals, most have seperate motivations and ulterior agendas. Many national partnerships and large corporations are a part of the foundation but the major players are as follows.
